Online testing option for IELTS

IELTS Online is a new online IELTS Academic test that will be available from early 2022. IELTS Academic is the leading test to evaluate English proficiency for international higher education. IELTS Online will allow students to take the test from their own home or another suitable location as they set about on their journey to achieving their study and career goals.

Format of IELTS online

The great thing about IELTS Online is it’s the same content and format as IELTS taken in a test center. The Listening, Reading, and Writing section tests are conducted in the same way as with IELTS on the computer. Speaking test includes a real-time face-to-face, delivered online by trained IELTS examiners. The new online proctoring platform, along with IELTS’ own proctors who are recruited, trained, and managed directly, will make sure the high standards of test righteousness in the new format.

IELTS Online results

Candidates will receive your results 3–5 days after taking IELTS Online. It will have the same strict evaluation by trained examiners. A speaking English test with a human tester giving a true indication of the ability of the test taker to communicate effectively in English.

Choose where and how you take your test

IELTS Online gives complete flexibility on how to take tests. Whether candidates prefer to take their test at home, in a test center, on a computer, or with paper and pen.
